我们使用受赠的工商业中产生的弃置材料和生活中产生的“废品”做手作，物尽其用、减少污染、变废为宝，手作品用于直接捐助或变现募资扶助弱势儿童！报名参加活动前，请务必扫码了解我们的项目。

We use donated disused material from industry or commerce and “waste” from daily life to do DIY, maximize utilization of existing resources, minimize pollution to the environment, and turn “waste” into valuable DIY items that we donate to disadvantaged children directly or raise fund for them through charity sale. Before you sign up, please DO scan the QR code below to get to know our project

Following is event introduction & requirements toward volunteers in form of Q&A, pls take your time to read them first.  If you are interested in both DIY and contributing for a good cause,  most importantly you meet the requirement towards volunteers, you are welcome to join us to support disadvantaged children while having fun!

问题1：项目组织志愿者手作活动的目的是什么？

回答1：我们组织志愿者手作活动旨在聚集和培养热心公益的手作人，通过一起长期免费为项目制作质量适合义卖要求的手作品，募资捐助弱势儿童践行公益，活动不是免费的短期的个人手作兴趣班，体验班，提高班。

Q1: What’s the purpose of the volunteer DIY event?

A1: We aim to gather and train DIY lovers that are willing to make contribution for good cause through DIY for relatively long term. The event is NOT a free and short term hobby event or class.

问题2：项目对志愿者有什么基本要求？

回答2：项目不对志愿者年龄设限，但是只有满足以下要求的志愿者才是项目欢迎的志愿者。

1）参与的目的：来参与公益活动是为了给公益添砖加瓦，不是为了满足个人手作兴趣的需求。如果没有践行公益的愿望或时间，这里不是适合的场合， 

2）责任心和认真的态度：做公益也讲求效率，责任心和认真的态度是项目实现高效率管理的前提。

3）独立行为的愿望和能力：有能力自行了解项目以及活动介绍和要求。碰到不清楚的问题有能力通过适合的方式找到答案。能用自己的微信账号进行沟通，报名以及参加活动。

4)  组织性和纪律性：愿意，也有能力遵守项目的纪律要求 (扫以下黑色二维码了解细节）和遵循各项管理规章制度（报名入群后发放）。参与项目的各项活动时不需要特别管理也可以遵守活动秩序 （活动前会提醒参与者活动相应的纪律要求，如果不愿意接受纪律要求和管理制度，不参加项目活动也是一个选项）

5）团队意识: 一个人走得快，一群人走得远。有愿望更有能力和其他志愿者友好相处，携手公益。

6）对手作初学志愿者的特别要求：不仅有时间学习，更有时间练习学习的内容不断提高熟练程度。最重要的是在学会后有时间和意愿用学习到的技能长期为项目做贡献。平均每周能投入至少3个小时作为志愿者服务时间。只有时间学习，没有时间练习提高，或没有时间长期做贡献的初学者不是项目期待的志愿者，选择不来参加活动是对无私奉献自己的时间和精力的公益人的尊重的体现。

Q2: What are basic requirement for volunteers?

A2: The project does not set restriction on age for volunteers, but only those fulfiling following requirements are welcome to join the team.

1) Purpose of participating in the event: to make contribution to the non-profit project, not to meet personal interest and need. If there is no willingness and time to make contribution for non-profit cause, the event is not suitable for you.

2) Sense of responsibility & positive attitude: which are foundamental for achieving high efficiency that's one of the principles we are after in this project

3) Willingness and ability to act independently: Willing and able to understand project related introduction and requirements, and to find appropriate way to get answer to questions if any. Ability to use own WeChat account to sign up in events,  communicate and participate in events is another must

4) Sense of discipline: Willing and able to follow project event discipline (scan black QR code above to find out details) and management rules (to be shared after signing up and joining the group). Capable of conducting oneself in a proper manner without 3rd party supervision during events of the project (reminder about rules of events will be sent out in advance, choose not to attend the event is one available option to take if not willing to follow specific rules of the event）

5) Teamwork: One walks faster, one team walks further. Willingness & ability to get along well with other volunteers to work as a team to make more contribution to the project

6) Specific reuqirement for DIY Beginners:  For DIY beginner volunteer, it's important to not only have time to learn the skill, but also have time to practice to be skillful enough to make quality handcrafts. What's most important is having time and willingness to use the learned skill to make contribution to the project for long term. Average 3 hours per week of volunteering time either at home or at DIY event venue is required.  Those who only have time to learn, but no time to practice to improve or to make long term contribution for the project are not volunteers we expect. Choosing not to attend the volunteer event is an act showing respect to those who devote time and energy to organize such event.3

问题3：我会手作，手作活动的时候我做些什么？ 

回答3：这是圣诞主题的自命题的活动，所以你可以做任意圣诞主题，适合义卖的作品。

Q3: I can DIY, what will I be doing during the event?

A3: During the event, you can do any Xmas themed handcraft you prefer that is suitabel for charity sale.

问题4：我不会手作，手作活动的时候我能做些什么？

回答4：你可以帮助做一些辅助工作，如绕毛线，登记手作品，整理物料等等，或做一些简单的手作品，如毛线球，布艺球等等。

Q4: I don't have DIY experience, what will I be doing during the event?

A4: You could help to to do some supporting tasks, i.e. make yarn ball from skein, register handrafts, sort out material etc.. You could also try to make some simple handcraft like pompom that could be used on handcrafts made by other volunteers. 

问题5：来参加活动的时候我需要带什么？

回答5：我们手作活动使用的材料都是工厂及公司捐赠的弃置材料以及个人捐赠的日常生活中产生的“废物”。活动中使用的材料和工具都由项目提供，不需要带。但如有习惯使用的个人工具如钩针或棒针，请携带。

Q5: What do I need to bring with me to the event?

A5: Material used during the event are either disused material donated by factories and companies or “waste” generated in daily life and donated by individual. We will provide all material and tools needed. But pls do bring your own if you have your own tools that you are used to use. 

问题6：志愿者做出来的手作品会用来做什么？

回答6：质量合格的手作品会在义卖活动的时候售卖募资捐助弱势儿童。我们目前通过儿童希望救助基金会http://www.childrenshope.org.cn捐助弱势儿童，在网站用"弃资手作公益"作为关键字可以查询过往捐助记录。质量尚需提高的手作品将不做存留，拆卸后材料将被重新利用。志愿者以义卖价格购买自己或他人制作的手作品，是对项目的进一步支持！

Q6: What will happen to handcrafts made by volunteers?

Q6: DIY work of good quality will be put into charity sale to raise fund to support disadvantaged children. Currently we support children in need of help through Children’s hope foundation http://www.childrenshope.org.cn, you could key in "弃资手作公益” as key words in the website to search for past donation record. DIY work that need further improvement will be dissembled so that the material could be reused.You could choose to further support the project by purchasing work of your own or other volunteers.

问题7：我可以邀请我的家人/朋友参加吗？

回答7：欢迎邀请对手作和公益都感兴趣的朋友参加！请给朋友转发海报并邀请家人/朋友扫码，了解项目和活动要求之后，自己报名参加活动。

Q7: Can I invite my friend(s) to join?

A7: You are welcome to invite whoever interested in DIY and contributing for a good cause to join. Pls share the poster with them and invite them to enroll directly in the event by themselves after undersding the project and event requirement. 

问题8：除了手作，我还可以怎样为项目做贡献？

回答8：项目简介结尾提到了二十多种手作之外可以为项目作贡献的方式，我们的项目还在初创期，亟需各路人才的加盟, 欢迎加入，携手公益。如果报名参加手作活动，报名时请根据自己的兴趣爱好和特长选择其他做贡献的方式. 如果不报名参加手作活动，但愿意为项目做贡献，请扫以下的二维码填表告诉我们你选择做贡献的方式。

Q8: Other than DIY, what else can I do to contribute for the project?

A8: The project introduction mentioned more than 2o different ways other than DIY to contribute. The project is still at its initial phase and therefore in deep need of various talents. Welcome to join us to further bring this meaningful project to the next stage together. If you sign up for DIY event, pls choose the way to contribute while signing up. If you don't sign up for DIY event, but willing to contribute for the project in other ways, pls notify us by scanning the QR code below and filling up the form.  

我们尝试利用手作活动的机会做微型的闲置物交换。大家有闲置的衣物或物品不需要的话，建议在活动前在群里发个清晰的照片。有志愿者确认需要的话，请在活动的时候带来交给新主人。希望通过这样的交换可以把我们生活中闲置的资源利用起来，增加它们的使用价值，减少资源的浪费。

We will take the chance of the event to do mini swap of disused items from our daily life. If you have any clothes or items that you don’t need anymore, you could share a clear photo in the event group prior to the event and bring it to the event if anybody in the group confirms to be the new owner. Through such initiative, we hope that these disused resources could be fully utilized, their value could be realized and less resources would be wasted.
