Hello, this is Clara, founder of Clara Non-profit DIY， thank you for your attention！

I. 项目简介 /Project introduction

我们使用受赠的工商业中产生的弃置材料和生活中产生的“废品”做手作，物尽其用、减少污染、变废为宝，手作品用于直接捐助或变现募资扶助弱势儿童！

We use donated disused material from industry or commerce and “waste” from daily life to do DIY, maximize utilization of existing resources, minimize pollution to the environment, and turn “waste” into valuable DIY items that we donate to disadvantaged children directly or raise fund for them through charity sale. 

II. 对志愿者的要求

项目不对志愿者年龄设限，满足以下要求的志愿者都是项目期待相遇的志愿者。

**所有志愿者

1）参与的目的：来参与活动是为了给公益添砖加瓦，不是为了满足个人手作兴趣的需求。如果没有践行公益的愿望或时间，这里不是适合的场合。

2）责任心和认真的态度：做公益也讲求效率，责任心和认真的态度是项目实现高效率运转的前提。

3）独立行为的愿望和能力：有能力自行了解项目以及活动介绍和要求。碰到不清楚的问题有能力通过适合的方式找到答案。能用自己的微信账号进行沟通，报名以及参加活动。

4）组织性和纪律性：愿意也有能力遵守项目的各项管理规章制度。参与项目的各项活动时不需要特别管理也可以遵守活动秩序，不给组织者增加管理成本。

5）团队意识: 一个人走得快，一群人走得远。有能力和愿望和其他志愿者友好相处，携手公益，开能开心公益。

**长期参与的志愿者

6)  不断学习和提高的愿望和能力：有意愿也有能力为更好地为项目做贡献不断学习新的知识和技能。

**手作初学志愿者

7）不仅有时间学习，更有时间练习学习的内容不断提高熟练程度。最重要的是在学会后有时间和意愿用学习到的技能长期为项目做贡献。平均每周能投入至少3个小时作为志愿者服务时间。只有时间学习，没有时间练习提高，或没有时间长期做贡献的初学者不是项目期待的志愿者，选择不来参加活动是对无私奉献自己的时间和精力教授手作的志愿者老师和项目的尊重的体现。

II. Requirements towards volunteers

There is no restriction on age about volunteer, all those who meet the following requirments are good candidates for the volunteer team.

**All volunteers

1) Purpose of participatig in the project: to make contribution to the non-profit project, not to meet personal interest and need. If there is no willingness and time to make contribution for non-profit cause, the event is not suitable for you.

2) Sense of responsibility & positive attitude: which are foundamental for achieving high efficiency that's one of the principles we are after in this project

3) Willingness and capability to act independently: Willing and capable to understand project related introduction and requirements, and to find appropriate way to get answer to questions if any. Ability to use own WeChat account to sign up in events,  communicate and participate in events is another must

4）Sense of disciplinary: Willing and able to follow project management rules and regulations. Capable of conducting oneselve in a proper manner without 3rd party supervision during events of the project, not to increase the cost of management for the event organizer. 

5) Teamwork: One walks faster, one team walks further. Willingness & ability to get along well with other volunteers to work as a team to make more contribution to the project

**Long term volunteers

6) Willingness and capability to learn & improve：Willing and capable to learn for the purpose of better contributing to the project

**Beginner DIY volunteer

7) It's important to not only have time to learn the skill, but also have time to practice to be skillful enough to make quality handcrafts. What's most important is having time and willingness to use the learned skill to make contribution to the project for long term. Average 3 hours per week of volunteering time either at home or at DIY event venue is required.  Those who only have time to learn, but no time to practice to improve or to make long term contribution for the project are not volunteers we expect. Choosing not to attend the volunteer event is an act showing respect to the project and volunteer teachers who devote time and energy to teach volunteers DIY for good cause.

问题1：项目组织志愿者自命题活动日的目的是什么？

回答1：旨在聚集热心公益的志愿者用适合自己的方式为弃资手作公益提供线下的志愿服务。

Q1: What’s the purpose of the Volunteer Self-defined Service day?

A1: We aim to gather volunteers that are keen in making contribution for good cause to provice volunteering service to Clara Non-profit DIY.

问题2：活动中我能做什么？

回答2：活动中你可以选择做以下一项或多项内容：

1）制作既存种类的手作品，或开发新品 （钩编，棒织，结绳，布艺，纸艺，毛毡等等）

2）分类整理登记项目的物料，工具，作品 

3）包装手作品

4）为项目的作品和活动本身拍照

5）为参加活动的志愿者们烹饪午/晚餐

Q2: What can I do during the event

A2: You could choose one or more of the following content

1) Make handcraft of existing models, or develop new product (crochet, knit, knot, paper & fabric craft, felt)

2) Sort DIY material, tools and handcrafts

3) Pack handcrafts

4) Take photos for handcrafts and the event itself

5) Cook meals for volunteers attending the event

问题3：做出来的手作品会用来做什么？

回答3：质量合格的手作品会用于义卖募资捐助弱势儿童。我们目前通过儿童希望救助基金会http://www.childrenshope.org.cn捐助弱势儿童，在网站用"弃资手作公益"作为关键字可以查询过往捐助记录。质量尚需提高的手作品将不做存留，拆卸后材料将被重新利用。志愿者以义卖价格购买自己或他人制作的手作品，是对项目的进一步支持！

Q3: What will happen to DIY work of volunteers?

Q3: DIY work of good quality will be put into charity sale to raise fund to support disadvantaged children. Currently we support children in need of help through Children’s hope foundation http://www.childrenshope.org.cn, you could key in "弃资手作公益” as key words in the website to search for past donation record. DIY work that need further improvement will be dissembled so that the material could be reused.You could choose to further support the project by purchasing work of your own or other volunteers.

问题4：除了以上方式，我还可以怎样为项目做贡献？

回答4：线下还有市集的义卖活动可以参与。除线下活动以外，还可以在线上为项目提供技能方面的服务。除了技能外，还可以在信息和资源上参与和支持项目，请扫码了解其他的参与方式。 

Q4: Other than above 5 aspects, what else can I do to contribute for the project?

A4: Charity sale in market is another offline option. Otherwise you could choose to make contribution with your skills online. Besides skills, your information & resources could be valuable for the project. Pls scan the QR code below to check out all details. 

问题5：来参加活动的时候我需要带什么？

回答5：手作活动中使用的工具和材料，作品包装使用的物料，烹饪使用的食材都由项目提供。如有个人习惯使用的工具鼓励自带。用于拍摄照片的摄影器材请自备。此外，请携带一次性拖鞋，标注名字后供个人后续使用。

Q5: What do I need to bring with me to the event?

A5: Material & tools for DIY, packing material, ingredients for cooking are all provided by event organizor. You are encouraged to bring your own tool that you are used to. Pls do bring your own photography equipement for photo shooting. Disposable slippers is a must, that could be marked with your name and kept in the studio for future use. 

问题6：我可以邀请我的家人/朋友参加吗？

回答6：欢迎邀请对手作和公益都感兴趣的朋友参加！请给朋友转发海报并邀请家人/朋友扫码，了解项目和活动要求之后，自己报名参加活动。

Q6: Can I invite my friend(s) to join?

A6: You are welcome to invite whoever interested in DIY and contributing for a good cause to join. Pls share the poster with them and invite them to enroll directly in the event by themselves after undersding the project and event requirement. 

我们尝试利用手作活动的机会做微型的闲置物交换。大家有闲置的衣物或物品不需要的话，建议在活动前在群里发个清晰的照片。有志愿者确认需要的话，请在活动的时候带来交给新主人。希望通过这样的交换可以把我们生活中闲置的资源利用起来，增加它们的使用价值，减少资源的浪费。

We will take the chance of the event to do mini swap of disused items from our daily life. If you have any clothes or items that you don’t need anymore, you could share a clear photo in the event group prior to the event and bring it to the event if anybody in the group confirms to be the new owner. Through such initiative, we hope that these disused resources could be fully utilized, their value could be realized and less resources would be wasted.
